CHARACTER INFORMATION

NAME: Bonnie Bennett
CANON: The Vampire Diaries
AGE: 21
CANON POINT: post-S6, pre-S7

BACKGROUND: wiki link

INCENTIVE: At this point, Bonnie has gained the confidence to live her life to the fullest, albeit at the cost of her best friend's. (As long as Bonnie is alive, Elena remains in a sleeping spell, destined to wake only when Bonnie dies.) Thus, her incentive would be to separate her life span from Elena's - and if at all possible, to awaken Elena from her Sleeping Beauty curse.

Beyond that, should she get a second request, she would like to bring back Jo Laughlin (and her unborn children, if at all possible). Alaric and Damon deserve happy endings, not a whirlwind drinking tour of Europe, and if her time here can prevent them from drowning in misery, then she'll consider her job well done.

FIT: Although Bonnie's experienced more than enough trauma in one lifetime, she's more than eager to jump into the world of Eudio. She knows the importance of consent, and how much power is in consent: her romantic decisions past and future have been shaped by her ability to say yes or no. She also knows how much power lies in friendships and a solid support system, and after her time in the prison world of 1994, Bonnie's keen on surrounding herself with people that would love and support her unconditionally.

That, she may have to struggle a little to find, but she wants a fresh start, and she'll have that fresh start with the support of several friends from home (as well as the people she may meet in Eudio). Bonnie'll want to protect her friends from the future and what lies ahead, but she also won't entirely shy away from the truth when asked.

SAMPLES:
i) meet and greet

[Parties are for mingling, and well, Bonnie came here specifically for cuddling, so. She had to grin and deal, right? Except she doesn't really do fancy parties (anymore). That's more Elena and Caroline's thing, and now she's starting to feel a little under-dressed in her black jeans, leather jacket (which may or may not be a perfect replica of a certain Salvatore's), and cute ruffled top. It's certainly not a casual outfit, but it's certainly less dressy than what Bonnie would feel like. As she walks around the party, she tugs uncomfortably on the jacket, wishing desperately that she'd grabbed something else.

Especially the leather jacket and the clunky ankle boots. It's much more Damon than her, but it's also giving her enough confidence to grab a glass of bourbon from the table and chat up the first person she sees. With a bright smile,]
So, are the mozzarella sticks here actually worth it?

1) Let's say I wanted to find some quality reading around here. What bookstores or libraries would you recommend? Or better yet, what books would you suggest I start with?

2) I'm also in the market for a board game partner :( I think I've found a treasure trove of them, so if you're interested, we should get together. I hear Risk is pretty fun when you're in it for the long haul.

iii) (an additional thread: Bonnie calming down a jealous not-boyfriend)

ANYTHING ELSE? Bonnie is a witch, and a pretty powerful one at that. Often called a prodigy by other characters, she's grown leaps and bounds from the girl who could make feathers float in season 1. While she primarily uses her magic to light fires, accelerate plant growth, & conduct locator spells, she has used spells to divine the future, communicate with ghosts, summon forcefield barriers, and the like. (Her canon treats it as a "get out of plot free" card!)

She's drawn from celestial events such as eclipses and northern lights for power, as well as from deceased spirits (though this power no longer applies, with the Other Side disappearing). Should any of these powers cause concern, they can be lessened or nullified prior to her arrival!
